For small grid ships on a planet start I recommend using Batteries and using power from your base to recharge them (wind tubines, solar panels or Hydrogen), and only adding a hydrogen engine & generator if you plan on taking that vehicle/ship on long journeys where it might need an emergency recharge.Īs you get to space and find uranium, reactors can be even better than batteries but I always seem to have really bad luck with finding it).Īs for using thrusters, they all only work in the direction you put them and, unless you are using mods, there is no aerodynamics, so wings won't give you lift.
